SR Architects had initially been appointed to this ongoing project to replace the existing White House Surgery on a new site in the historical centre of Chipping Norton. Subsequently, accommodation for the West Street Surgery practice was added to the brief as well as a new site location further from that sensitive context. As such the scope and design complexity have increased significantly.

 

Now SR Architects with their client are trying to achieve a scheme that responds to each practice’s particular clinical requirements as well as trying to realize some efficiencies of shared accommodation. Ultimately the scheme aims to create a new combined community surgery of sustainable, contemporary quality that respects the scale and context of its surroundings whilst providing for the complex clinical requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s medical practice delivery.
