SR Architects Ltd. was commissioned in 2024 to design two new assessment units for different outpatient areas at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. 

One, in the A&E department, involved refurbishing an existing walk-in assessment area adding an extension to the unit to create additional examination rooms to provide more patient care areas and increase patient through-put for non-life threatening A&E cases.

The other new area was the design of an extension to the Gynae outpatients assessment department to house two new consulting, examination and procedures rooms to expand the provision of services for the department.

These extensions and refurbishments were completed in mid 2025.
